12 Year Old Conservative Stands Up To Liberal Hate

CJ Pearson didn’t start out wanting to be conservative icon but that is what he has become following cyber bullying and violent threats hurled his way by Democrat activist Mona Brown.

Pearson describes himself in one word – effective. After all, he developed his own brand… has a political message that resonates with his young of followers… has earned the respect of older generation conservatives and he has done this all by the ripe old age of 12.

CJ has considered himself a conservative since the age of 8 and advocates conservatism so articulately that he has attracted over 29,000 followers on Facebook, a two month old YouTube channel that boasts 2 million viewers and has featured on Fox News, the Washington Times, USA Today and from commentators that include Mark Levin and Laura Ingraham.

So it is no wonder that he has become a target of a leftwing troll who have launched an online campaign of bullying and veiled threats against the boy – threats serious enough to frighten Pearson’s family who had him take a pause from online advocacy before the threatened violence had been carried out.

But now the worm has turned and CJ Pearson is planning to press charges now that he knows the real name of his online tormentor. According to a Facebook post last Sunday, Ali A. Akbar of Vice and Victory, a consulting firm that works with CJ, has identified the woman behind the Twitter account “Mona Hussein Obama” as Mona Brown who describes herself as a “top Democratic activist” from Baltimore. Akbar said in a video:

“What she did was against the law” and that Akbar had vowed to “expose a troll, a bully, a grown adult and top Democrat activist in Maryland for bullying a 12-year-old.”

Late last week, Brown began her Twitter campaign of harassment against Pearson in retaliation for Internet videos harshly critical of Obama that have made the boy an Internet sensation. Her tweets ranged from insults – “your fam has been bowing down to white ppl” – to hints of violence “Wish we could switch Trayvon’s life for yours.”

On Facebook Friday, the 12-year-old announced he had had enough.

“After much thought and consideration, I’ve decided to take a break from politics and political commentary,” he wrote. “I had a horribly rough night on Twitter after a woman not only threatened to sue me for expressing my opinions but threatened my family.”

The boy handed over his social media accounts to Vice and Victory, which quickly set up a support fund and hashtag #StandWithCJ.

Before taking down her Twitter page, Brown posted an apology but only after true identity had been revealed.

“I apologize and I am deeply ashamed of the horrible statements I made to @cjpearson,” she wrote. “U know the right wing will never stop attacking me but please know that I NEVER threatened him or his family.”

She then went on to complain that “the right wing” was attacking her family despite the irony that she earlier attacked the Pearson family and wished for their death.

For Pearson, the experience has only energized his return to online politics and says that the incident has made his resolve stronger.

“After much thought and consideration, I have decided to press forward and continue to fight for what I believe in,” he wrote on Facebook. “Mona’s hate has only strengthened my resolve and has encouraged me to continue to do what I love and what I do best.”

This is the next step for Pearson who held fast against the kinds of attacks that liberals have hurled against conservatives for years. The young African American first captured national attention in February when he took to YouTube to sharply criticizing President Obama’s leadership.
