It’s unlikely that Ted Cruz was a fan of the movie Confessions of a Lap Dancer or The Pleasure Zone, but somehow the adult actress from those films made it into one of his campaign commercials.
But now she’s out, as the ad featuring actress Amy Lindsay has been pulled by the Cruz campaign.
Those upset by the singling out of Amy have made valid points that “being a soft-core adult actress is a far more honorable occupation than being a politician”.
After the Texas senator’s campaign pulled the ad, Lindsay took to Twitter with this:
Extremely disappointed the #TedCruz campaign pulled the national television spot I had a role in… @CNN @Foxnews #moretocome #myvotecounts

Historically, most adult actors and actresses swing left in their presidential picks. On rare occasion they support GOP candidates.
In 2012, adult icon Jenna Jameson endorsed Mitt Romney.
This year, goofy adult star Mary Carey has endorsed Marco Rubio. Carey has previously said she would run for president herself.
As for Amy Lindsay’s inclusion in the Cruz ad, it’s a difficult mistake to make as during casting, a quick search on IMDB would have revealed her salty background.
