Kanye leaving U.S. because it’s too racist

Kanye West has decided he wants to move–because America is just too damned racist for him these days.

I’ve heard a lot of ridiculous things coming from the limousine liberal faction of today’s American Left–but a multi-millionaire, one of the most famous people and popular musicians on the planet, complaining that American society is out to get him? That takes the cake.

Mr. West’s statement stems from an alleged incident in Los Angeles, one of the most liberal cities in one of the most liberal states in the country. Mr. West claims that his wife, reality star Kim Kardashian, who is white, was approached by a teenager who called her an “n-word” lover.

Mr. West responded in kind by punching the teenager in the face–and then threatening to leave the country because it’s too racist for him to raise his daughter.

In fact, he said directly: “We’ve got enough money to buy our own island or some sh*t. I’ll be damned if I raise my daughter around ignorance and flat-out blatant racism.”

Forgive me for my candor, but: a multi-millionaire celebrity–with the ability to buy his own island–threatening to disown his country because of one comment is not a product of a racist society. It’s a product of the kind of entitlement culture that the American Left–and their celebrity allies, like Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, have come to represent.

West’s behavior follows a tremendous escalation of phony claims of racism from the Left–something that’s, sadly, become increasingly commonplace after the election of Barack Obama in 2008.

Far from improving race relations–as was expected after America elected our first African-American President–Democrats have, in the age of Obama, lobbed allegations of racism to diffuse any difficult situation. Don’t like ObamaCare? You’re racist. Don’t like amnesty? You’re racist. Don’t like Obama’s economic policies? You get the idea.

While racial slurs should have no place in America, it’s important that Mr. West (and those claiming racism at every turn, like Rev. Al Sharpton) remembers how much they benefited from America’s unique melting pot culture..

In other countries, like ones in Europe–where race riots are commonplace; minority groups are never able to truly assimilate into mainstream culture; and racism-based political parties routinely win seats in parliaments–Kanye West would never be able to accumulate the kind of wealth he has here in America.

However, I would strongly urge Mr. West to leave for his private island as soon as possible–so that he can realize, as many liberals complaining about America have, that our country affords far more opportunity for far more people than anywhere else in the world.
