Bill de Blasio

by -

The Senate minority leader Sen. Chuck Shumer urged the New York City Police Department to stop protecting President Trump’s family; if the federal government doesn’t fund the expenses incurred while the police protects President Trump’s family.

“[Mayor Bill de Blasio] ought to tell the Congress if we don’t pay for it, New York City cops aren’t guarding it, and let the Feds put more people in.”

“… That’s what I think he should do.”

The Washington Examiner reports indicate that between the Election Day and when President Trump was inaugurated in January, New York City has spent $24 million on security for the Trump Tower. The security costs have continued to remain very high ever since the inauguration, as first lady Melania Trump and their son Baron Trump has continued to live in their New York City accommodation and shall continue to; until Baron completes his school year.

In his interview, Sen. Shumer went on and called President Trump a “huge disappointment to most Americans.” He claimed that President Trump doesn’t have any interest and has not shown a single sign of cooperation to implement bipartisan reforms.

“When I talk to him, I try to talk to him about serious issues and he just changes the subject,” Schumer said.

“I told him we want to work with him where we can work with him, we want to work with him on a big infrastructure bill—America needs to rebuild its infrastructure, haven’t gotten anywhere with him. I told him on North Korea, the way to deal with North Korea is to get China to be much tougher and to get China to be tougher is for us to be tougher with China on trade. Nothing. He listens to what I have to say on the important subject of the day and then he talks about what he wants to talk about.”

In addition to being Trumps biggest opened, Sen. Schumer has recently been seen telling MSNBC that Trump’s first hundred days in the office are no less than “100 days of broken promises to the working people.”

Ahhh, the Good Ole Days. Boys were boys. Girls were girls. And “going to the bathroom” was a simple, private matter that required no direction from busybody lawmakers. Not anymore.

We no longer live in the era of “he” or “she.” In 21st Century American, the list of “gender types” is longer than the menu of flavors at a Baskin-Robins ice cream parlor. According to Tumblr – the social media platform serving as the “intellectual” epicenter of gender fluidity and other “social justice” nonsense – gender terms range from the basic, like cisgender (“the feeling of being the gender you were assigned at birth, all the time”); to the confusing, like vibragender (“a gender that is usually one stable gender but will occasionally changes or fluctuate before stabilizing again”); and to the genuinely bizarre, colorgender (“a gender associated with one or more colors and the feelings, hues, emotions, and/or objects associated with that color”). There appears to be no end to this madness.

Even the advocacy movement for such groups struggles to keep up with the amorphous definition of their constituencies. Whereas just one generation ago, the universally understood term for the gay community was “LGBT” (lesbian-gay-bisexual-transsexual), the acronym today has ballooned to “LGBTQQIAAP” (lesbian-gay-bisexual-transgender-queer-questioning-intersex-asexual-allies-pansexual). The rationale behind this alphabet-soup absurdity is to increase inclusion of groups that otherwise make up statistically miniscule elements of the population when divided into such niches. The practical effect is exclusion by inclusion. According to one of the “As” in the acronym – “ally” — anyone who is not sympathetic to the cause is automatically excluded from the movement –becoming, in effect, an enemy.

As a general rule, people can refer to themselves by whatever name, title, or pronoun by which they desire to be known. And, within reason, it is common courtesy to try to respect their wishes. However, respect in this regard is no longer a two-way street. Understanding and tolerance are no longer shown to anyone who either does not know what to call someone, or politely chooses to stick to traditional, biologically-based gender pronouns and identities. Such people are branded as “homophobic” or worse, and lumped together into one of the Left’s “basket of deplorables.”

Sports associations have proudly placed themselves at the forefront of this Gender Identity Strike Force. The college sports division Atlantic Coast Conference, for example, announced last week that it would pull all championship games out of North Carolina in retaliation against “HB2,” the state’s so-called “bathroom bill” which does nothing other than reflect centuries-old, biologically-based restroom usage.

Public schools also have taken up the gender-identity challenge. In Chicago and Kansas City, public school students and faculty could face “consequences” for “intentionally referring to the student by a name or pronoun that does not correspond to the student’s gender identity” – with “identity” being wholly subjective and fluctuating.

Meanwhile, in New York City, Mayor Bill de Blasio’s Administration has drafted rules to levy fines on businesses of up to a quarter of a million dollars for not “respecting” a customer’s preferred terminology by which to be addressed. To avoid fines, the Big Apple’s Commission on Human Rights recommends “creating a policy of asking everyone what their preferred gender pronoun” might be, and “not limit the [customer database] options for identification to male and female only.”

It is one thing for a group of people or an individual to choose how to be identified; but a far different matter to employ the power of the law to force public and private businesses and individuals to engage in such nonsense; particularly when the list of pronouns by which individuals may choose to be addressed reads like a foreign language playbill.

By making gender identity identification a legal issue, the government gets to define the playing field for a societal debate about gender – something that, throughout human history until now, was never a topic needing debate in the first place. Worse still, in the Brave New World of Gender Identity Correctness, government is able to dictate to private citizens how to respond to such a debate, so as not to make anyone “uncomfortable.” But, as noted law professor Eugene Volokh suggests, “we should all feel uncomfortable about government regulators forcing people to say things that convey and support the government’s ideology about gender,” considering that such a debate makes no sense to most people in the first place.

Until recently, one might have though governments, universities, high schools, grade schools, and sports associations had more important things to worry about than bathroom protocols. Apparently not.

New York Mayor Bill de Blasio and other city officials are demanding people to boycott Chick-fil-A because they say the restaurant is anti-LGBT!

That’s right, Bill de Blasio, the same guy who made a racist joke about black people last month with Hillary Clinton, is calling for the boycott of a beloved fast food restaurant.

Bill thinks the Christian owners of Chick fil-A support those who are anti-LBGT, but apparently doesn’t believe in free speech. Chick-fil-A serves everyone with a smile and has no store policy to not make chicken for someone who might be gay.

“The Chick-fil-A culture and service tradition in our restaurants is to treat every person with honor, dignity and respect — regardless of their beliefs, race, creed, sexual orientation or gender,” a Chick-fil-A spokesperson said.

The liberal political correctness hysteria has gone too far and it is time to make a stand.

Sign the petition below that is going to New York Mayor Bill de Blasio at the end of May. Liberty News Now is going to send the petition with a Chick fil-A nugget tray to the Mayor’s office.

Tell the mayor: Stop Targeting Christian Businesses. I support Chick–fil-A!

Don’t forget to share with your friends and family on Facebook.

Hillary’s Jokes

Hillary, wearing something you may see out of “Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon”, went on stage with New York Mayor de Blasio to have some fun. They had fun all right, but at whose expense?

Watch the video as Hillary and the mayor joke about being late, or on “CP Time”, ie, “Colored Peoples’” time. Then, at the last minute, Hillary tries to cover it up like it meant something else.

The clip is meant to be funny, but it goes deeper. Why would Hillary even make a joke like that? If she were the woman that fights for the rights of minorities, then why would she make fun of black people, while dressed as an Asian person on a stage in front of a bunch of rich white people?

The skit was part of a charity event that Hillary and many New York big wigs were part of, and they were offering a parody of the controversial musical “Hamilton”.

Hillary is not doing well right now. Not only are her jokes falling flat, but her message is too. Bernie has won 7 of the last 8 states and is gaining momentum. Hillary is starting to attack Bernie more and is losing steam.

Hillary is just happy that people are talking about her bad jokes instead of her criminal investigation and interview with the FBI. Hillary finds a silver lining in everything.

Far-Left Mayor Bill de Blasio of New York stands in strong support of the “anti-racism” protests that have gripped college campuses over the last month.

He also told the press that his son, Dante, a freshman at Yale, has also been active in protests.

“He has certainly been involved on the discussion on the campus,” de Blasio said. “He’s active in the black student union, and he’s been to some of the protests.”

He added that he believes Dante is “very concerned” about the so-called racism at Yale.

While de Blasio is white, his wife is black–his son, Dante, is biracial. He has spoken at length, after the death of Eric Garner at the hands of police last year, about how he fears for Dante’s future with police encounters because he’s mixed-race.

But it’s hard to believe that Dante de Blasio–who grew up in a ritzy neighborhood in New York City, whose father is the mayor of the largest city in the country, and whose mother is a noted writer, poet, and speechwriter–qualifies as “oppressed,” despite his skin color.

In fact, it seems like many of the black protestors on college campuses are, actually, exactly what they seem: private college students from wealthy families, who are searching for a reason to protest and feel self-pity.

Jonathan Butler, the student behind a hunger strike at the University of Missouri that ultimately caused the football team to walk out and the president of the university to resign, was ultimately outed as the son of a wealthy railroad executive, who made $8 million last year.

As the protests continue to spread to different universities, it’s clear that the driving force isn’t actual oppression–but, rather, upper-class students who are looking to claim oppression wherever they can.

New York City is quickly falling into chaos–simply because their most liberal mayor in decades, Bill de Blasio, refuses to do his job in keeping his city safe.

Murders are up nearly 20% in 2015. It’s been on the rise for the past two year–the first time that’s happened in decades. De Blasio only took office in 2013–the uptick in murders began almost exactly when he took office.

Leaders on both sides of the aisles are beginning for the far-Left mayor to do something to stop the sudden uptick of crime in their neighborhoods.

Even Natasha Christopher, the mother of a 14-year-old boy who was shot in the back of the head in Brooklyn, pleaded with the mayor:

“Please do something to save lives,” Christopher said. “There are more children dying. There are parents burying their children when it shouldn’t be happening.”

De Blasio’s latest idea? “Get a lot of guns away from the bad guys.”

Of course, the problem is New York City already has some of the strongest gun laws in the nation.

The bigger culprit is that the far-Left de Blasio has been famously soft on crime. Last year, he cheered on supporters who were later chanting, “What do we want? Dead cops!” And his relationship with NYPD got so frosty in the aftermath that, when he attended a funeral for a murdered NYPD officer, officers turned their backs to him.

De Blasio also controversially stopped NYPD’s “stop, question, and frisk” policy–which gave NYPD the jurisdiction it needed to question people who looked like they were up to no good.

That policy, which was a fixture of the last two decades under Mayors Rudy Giuliani and Michael Bloomberg, was widely credited with helping restore New York City to its former luster. Before Giuliani took office and overhauled how NYPD dealt with crime, even Midtown Manhattan–one of the most expensive neighborhoods in the world these days–was wrought with violence and mayhem.

De Blasio deemed the policy “racist.”

Except now his criticism is coming from leaders in the African-American community too–who are fed up with high crime and no action, no matter how much the mayor sugarcoats it.

Rev. Calvin Butts of the Abyssinian Baptist Church in Harlem slammed the mayor for high crime.

“The mayor needs to pay attention,” he said. “…People will organize against him.”
