Michelle Obama

Hillary Clinton spoke at Wake Forest University in North Carolina on Thursday to her biggest crowd in a long time, but they weren’t there to see her.

Most of Hillary’s crowds at rallies have been around the 1000 person mark. That is when she decides to actually get out and do a rally herself.

On Thursday, Hillary managed to get 11,000 people out in North Carolina to a rally, but they were not coming to see her. Fans were coming out to see Michelle Obama.

For the first time on the campaign, Hillary and Michelle Obama campaigned together, and both spoke at a rally.

The event was held at Wake Forest University, and students and staff were encouraged to go. The schools at Wake have about 10,000 students and another roughly 1,000 staff and educators. That is a nice built in crowd.

Hillary’s rally was public and it was crowded, but most of the people that went were excited to see Michelle, not Hillary.

Hillary even admitted, “Seriously! Is there anyone more inspiring than Michelle Obama?”

Normally that would be a line used to describe the candidate running for office, not the guest speaker.

Luckily, Hillary doesn’t have to run against Michelle, because that might not work out to well for the former Secretary of State.

Hillary can’t draw crowds like this on her own anymore, but Michelle’s popularity is soaring and she might run for office soon.

Do you think people came to see Hillary or Michelle? Let us know in the comments below.

Now that her husband will be leaving the White House soon, will Michelle Obama make the move to politics like Hillary or do something else?

Michelle Obama is a generally well-liked First Lady and in January she will be moving and having a new life.

What is she going to do next?

Michelle is trying out some new things in preparation for her big move, and Ellen decided to help her.

The first lady co-hosted the Ellen Show with Ellen Degeneres last week to see if she could have her own talk show one day.

As co-host Michelle teaches a lesson on trash talk and makes fun of her husbands ears.

The show took an awkward turn when Ellen and Michelle went to CVS. It was clear that Michelle hadn’t been shopping in a while and that Ellen can be really annoying. It is funny to watch.

Who knows what is next for Michelle, but doubt she will be taking over the Ellen show anytime soon.

What do you think Michelle will do next?

A black conservative YouTube star just took down Michelle Obama’s shockingly racist rant at Tuskegee University.

Alfonzo Rachel basically told Michelle Obama that the solution to racism isn’t self-pity or playing the victim card—it’s about hard work and resilience.

Michelle, in a speech at the historically black Tuskegee earlier this year, discussed “those nagging worries that you’re going to get stopped or pulled over for absolutely no reason; the fear that your job application will be overlooked because of the way your name sounds; the agony of sending your kids to schools that may no longer be separate, but are far from equal; the realization that no matter how far you rise in life, how hard you work to be a good person, a good parent, a good citizen — for some folks, it will never be enough.”

She added: “And all of that is going to be a heavy burden to carry. It can feel isolating. It can make you feel like your life somehow doesn’t matter… And as we’ve seen over the past few years, those feelings are real. They’re rooted in decades of structural challenges that have made too many folks feel frustrated and invisible. And those feelings are playing out in communities like Baltimore and Ferguson and so many others across this country.”

Rachel’s response absolutely destroyed Michelle Obama’s whole woe-is-me racist shtick as bad for the country, and bad for African-Americans in particular:

“If knowledge is power and you are graduating with the power of knowledge then how are you going to tolerate this agitator coming in to convince you, that you’re a victim, despite the power you’re graduating with.

You are the first freaking lady of the United States and you’re still a spoiled butt-hurt victim, whining about unfairness.

You’re not interested in representing the United States, you’re not interested in representing ALL the people, your interest is in representing the black community and as the first lady you have represented us as bitter and spoiled.

The only hope that people like you have, Michelle Obama is that people will be as miserable as you.”

Michelle Obama’s controversial lunch program has been making waves for the last few years–after replacing traditional food options in school cafeterias with “healthy” options have led to a barrage of complaints from students.

Students have complained about everything from taste to selection to the sheer amount of food–often, to get under federal calorie restrictions, schools have instead served tiny portions of unhealthy food, leaving students hungry. Worse, there have been a number of reports of teachers confiscated unhealthy lunches packed by parents themselves.

But, as bad as it was that she’s dictating what America’s children can eat, now Michelle Obama’s turning towards parents, in a push to force adults–responsible, decision-making adults–to eat healthier.

The McAllen Independent School District in Texas is the only district in the nation to have 100% participation in Michelle’s school lunch Let’s Move! Program.

Now, McAllen is pushing the First Lady’s food fascism even further–hosting a series of speakers to convince adults to trim down.

“We’re doing as much as we can at the schools,” said Mario Reyna, the physical education coordinator for McAllen schools. “We’ve got to focus on a lot of our adult populations in the community… We know it’s all about the adults because they’re the role models.”

Another liberal program run amok: in a true case of ends justifying the means, Michelle Obama and her friends at McAllen Independent School District would rather force adults to eat food to make sure kids have less choice in their food.

Give Michelle Obama credit where credit is due. While a number of prominent liberal politicians have used the recent race riots in Baltimore–a city with a black mayor, black city council, and a large number of black police officers–to bemoan so-called “white privilege,” Michelle struck a different tune.

In essence, she told the graduating class at historically-black Tuskegee University in Alabama they essentially had to stop complaining and get over it.

She starts by addressing that, in essence, there still is some discrimination in America today:

“Those nagging worries that you’re gonna get stopped or pulled over for absolutely no reason. The fear that your job application will be overlooked because of the way your name sounds. The agony of sending your kids to schools that may no longer be separate, but are far from equal. All of that, it’s gonna be a heavy burden to carry.”

But while these continue to be problems, she told them not to use this as an excuse for low expectations.

“I want to be very clear that those feelings are not an excuse to just throw up our hands and give up. They are not an excuse to lose hope. To succumb to feelings of despair and anger only means that in the end, we lose.”

Of course, Michelle Obama’s husband has presided over a yawning wealth gap when it comes to blacks vs. whites–hindered by the record number of blacks not in the work force, and a record number of blacks on welfare.

Michelle’s sentiment is right: there’s still some discrimination in this country, but burning down Baltimore isn’t going to fix anything. The next generation of black leaders are going to have to just work hard and not excuse poverty and the breakdown of the black family, but rise above it.

It remains to be seen if liberals will put their money where their mouth is–or whether they’ll continue to talk shallowly about “white privilege” as they continue to give hand-outs, rather than a leg up, to the African-American community.

In a new line of attack by the racial grievance industry, the movement’s high priestess Michelle Obama took the opportunity at the opening of the new $420 million Whitney Museum in New York City to say she had a “feeling of not belonging” in museums growing up on the south side of Chicago.

In her speech at the opening of the museum, the First Lady said:

“You see, there are so many kids in this country who look at places like museums and concert halls and other cultural centers and they think to themselves, ‘well, that’s not a place for me, for someone who looks like me, for someone who comes from my neighborhood.

In fact, I guarantee you that right now, there are kids living less than a mile from here who would never in a million years dream that they would be welcome in this museum.

And growing up on the South Side of Chicago, I was one of those kids myself. So I know that feeling of not belonging in a place like this. And today, as first lady, I know how that feeling limits the horizons of far too many of our young people.”

Mrs. Obama said this “feeling of not belonging” caused her and President Barack Obama to “open up the White House to as many young people as possible, especially those who ordinarily wouldn’t have a chance to visit.”

In her remarks, she continued:

“And that’s one of the reasons why Barack and I, when we first came to Washington, we vowed to open up the White House to as many young people as possible, especially those who ordinarily wouldn’t have a chance to visit.

So just about every time we host any kind of cultural event, a concert or performance, we ask the performers to come a few hours early and host a special workshop just for our young people.

The message we’re trying to send is simple.

We’re telling our young people: The White House is your house. You belong here just as much as anyone else in this country. We’re telling them: Make yourselves at home in this house. Be inspired by the artists and performers you see. And start dreaming just a little bigger, start reaching just a little higher for yourself.”

Apparently, Michelle’s decision to welcome “young people” to the public square doesn’t extend to “white young people”.

Editor-in-Chief Michele Hickford writing for former Congressman Alan West’s website revealed that white children were barred from attending a Black History Month an event called “Black Lives Matter” that was held on February 27 at the Oak Park and River Forest High School in Chicago.

The widely covered slight against white children being barred from the event elicited no comment from Michelle Obama in the aftermath of the clearly race based decision.

According to the Chicago Tribune:

“…white parents reported that their students were turned away when they tried to attend the Black Lives Matter event. The parents said they were offended that in a school and community that prides itself on diversity and inclusion that students who wanted to attend would be excluded.”

“As of last year, the school’s student population was 55 percent white, 27 percent black, 9 percent Hispanic, 6 percent multiracial and 3 percent Asian, according to the school’s website.

The high school’s percentage of black students is more than twice the national average for the black population as a whole, and the percentage of students who identify as multiracial is about six times the national average, according to the U.S. Census.”

Hicks added that African American principal Nathaniel Rouse said:

“…the event was not intended to be exclusive”…and that “the decision to allow only black students was based in an idea known as affinity grouping. In an affinity group, the philosophy is that students of one racial persuasion are able to express themselves fully and safely.”

This tortured and ironic argument about the inherent racism of barring white kids from attending a Black History Month event because they are white could also be used by the Ku Klux Klan to justify barring black kids from the schoolhouse door.

Michelle Obama runs up $242,500 hotel bill on Cambodia trip

When First Lady Michelle Obama travels, price is literally no object – so says the terms of a government contract released late last month concerning her hotel stay during a two-day trip to Cambodia to promote a girls education initiative in the Far East country.

The cost of the 85 rooms booked at the Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra Golf and Spa Resort for herself and her entourage – a cool $242,500 dollars – a cost that was justified as an “unusual and compelling urgency” to facilitate Michelle’s (apparently last minute) trip.

What’s more, the cost of staying at the hotel was subjected to a “justification and approval” test for the visit – an administrative step that received a rubber stamp from contracting officers at the Department of State.

Among the 85 single rooms at the luxury five-star hotel were five office suites, five sleeping suites and one conference room for a full 14 nights even though Michelle Obama stayed at the resort for just two days. According to Accor, the French hotel operator that manages the hotel:

“The Siem Reap hotel, which elegantly combines Khmer and French architectural design, features landscaped gardens, [five] restaurants and bars, meeting facilities, a luxury spa and the largest free form swimming pool in Cambodia,”

“The leading luxury resort in Siem Reap also boosts a world-class 18-hole golf course at the Phokeethra Country Club, which is only a 25 [minute] drive from the hotel.”

Not to worry. The First Lady put the space to good use.

During her stay, Michelle held two public events and spoke for a total of 33 minutes including 21 minutes talking to a group of 10 female students at Hun Sen Bakorng High School and 12 minutes to the Peace Corps Training Round Table.

Mrs. Obama also took time to visit the Angkor Wat temple complex and a meet and greet with U.S Embassy employees in Cambodia. The State Department said they awarded the contract on short notice and that security for the First Lady was an important factor in the cost.

“Security concerns prohibit sufficient advanced notification of VIP travel to allow for sufficient time to conduct full and open competition…” “The Department of State can only communicate with the staff at Posts abroad when authorization is given due to security concerns.

“Security and logistical teams make determinations during the site survey as to which hotels are most suitable for the Senior High Level USG VIP and his traveling staff to remain overnight…”

Suites at the Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra also came with personal butler service.

Less than a year after spending tens of millions of dollars to provide the nation’s food-stamp recipients with more fruits and vegetables, the Obama administration is generously throwing in another $31.5 million for the same cause, according to a recent announcement.

It’s the last thing Americans need to hear as the dreaded tax day approaches since, after all, they’re bankrolling the healthy food campaign for low-income residents. Under President Obama the country’s food-stamp program—rebranded Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) to eliminate stigma associated with the welfare benefit—has grown immensely, according to the government’s own figures. A record number of people, around 47 million, get free groceries from Uncle Sam at an astounding cost of about $80 billion a year.

It isn’t enough to give tens of millions of people free food. The administration wants to assure the welfare recipients are eating healthy and nutritious items by providing government-subsidized produce, whole grains and low-fat milk in neighborhoods it has labeled “food deserts.” It’s part of a broader effort spearheaded by Michelle Obama’s $4.5 billion law to revolutionize the inner city diet by providing fruits, veggies and grilled lean meats as alternatives to greasy, fried foods that tend to be more popular in those areas—presumably because they’re cheaper.

The money flows through the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), which has poured huge sums into the cause and this month dedicated the additional $31.5 million. “Encouraging low income families to put more healthy food in their grocery baskets is part of USDA’s ongoing commitment to improving the diet and health of all Americans,” said Obama’s Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack. He referred to the costly program as “creative community partnerships” that will ultimately help SNAP participants better afford fruits and vegetables. Officially the funds for this particular initiative have been coined Food Insecurity Nutrition Incentive grants.

Judicial Watch has reported on this extensively in the last few years, exposing the enormous sums of taxpayer dollars that have been wasted on this ineffective experiment. In fact, last year JW wrote about an academic study that shows the First Lady’s pricey initiative to eliminate “food deserts” is failing miserably. The study focused on a low-income neighborhood in Philadelphia that received generous grants from the government to build new markets and add healthy food options to convenience stores. Researchers found that dietary habits or obesity were not altered and it did not lead to changes in fruit and vegetable intake or body mass index.

Before that JW reported that the administration wasted $75 million to study ways of better recognizing the nutritional needs of low-income communities and more than $100 million in Obamacare grants to “reduce health disparities” between minorities and whites by, among other things, eliminating food deserts. The administration even created a special internet mapping tool (Food Desert Locator) that identifies areas with “limited access to affordable and nutritious foods.”

Less than a year ago the Obama administration announced that it was launching a special research center that will find ways to help food-stamp recipients make healthier and wiser food choices. It will be called the Center for Behavioral Economics and Healthy Food Choice and Americans will pay at least $1.9 million—possibly more—to create it. There seems to be no end to the madness, an obsession to control what private citizens consume and change the ingrained eating habits of an entire demographic.

Demonstrating once again that they are either tone deaf to the economic plight of the American people, feel entitled to extravagance by virtue of office, or that they simply don’t care, President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama took two separate jets to the same place on the same day just hours apart.

The two trips took them to California where they appeared on different television talk shows. President Obama was a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live in Los Angeles while Michelle graced the set of the Ellen Degeneres Show in Burbank – her forth since becoming First Lady.

The two airports are approximately 28 miles apart.

In terms of dollars, the president’s trip on Air Force One cost an estimated $228,000 per hour of flight time. The White House did not disclose the costs associated with Michelle’s jet.

White House deputy press secretary Eric Schultz told reporters that the president and first lady’s “schedules were not in sync in order to travel together.” “I’m not even sure they overlapped,” he said when asked if the president and first lady saw each other during their trips.

Mr. Obama later flew from Los Angeles to Phoenix where he visited the veterans’ hospital at the center of the veteran’s healthcare scandal involving two waiting lists for primary care appointments unfolded.

In that scandal, there were two appointment waiting lists. One was a secret list of waiting times that veterans were actually experiencing – sometimes up to six months – and a second public list that veterans were moved to when their appointments fell within a 30-day appointment goal.

Veterans Administration officials received bonuses for fraudulently meeting their “wait time goals”.

Mrs. Obama appeared on the “Ellen” show to promote the fifth anniversary of her initiative to combat childhood obesity. The show included a segment where Mrs. Obama and Ms. DeGeneres demonstrated a “high-energy” dance routine with back up dancers interrupted briefly by a technical glitch with Mrs. Obama’s microphone hookup.

Michelle Obama, who has spent much of the last six years trying to overhaul school lunches (with disastrous consequences), has met one of her fiercest critics yet: second grader Trip Klibert of LaPlace, Louisiana.

His letter is below:

Dear Mrs. Obama,

Thank you for trying to make my school lunch better, but you have ruined Taco Tuesday. Please bring back the old taco shell. I miss them. Also, the pizza is terrible. If you would like to try the new tacos, I will buy you lunch.

Thank you,
Trip Klibert

Mrs. Obama responded with an autographed picture of the Obama family, and a letter explaining to him the virtues of healthy eating–which Trip’s mom, Katie Klibert, says was “a great learning experience.”

The “Let’s Move!” initiative, which was started in 2010 by Mrs. Obama, has been tremendously controversial. Proponents of small government have also asserted that the new “Let’s Move!” Meal requirements have overstepped a school’s role–putting them in charge of dietary decisions that are better left to parents.

But what’s more, students simply don’t like the new healthy lunch choices. Many have complained about taste and quality, but especially portion size, as school districts have cut the amount of food to meet stringent calorie requirements, which is cheaper than using healthier ingredients.

Already, many school districts have opted out of the new standards, arguing that with higher costs and fewer students buying lunch, the new rules simply don’t work.
As our school meals continue to decline and leave students hungry, Mrs. Obama should remember to listen to her critics–even young ones, like Trip Klibert.
