Indicted Democrat

Politicians have a well-earned reputation for being sleazy, but a corrupt Florida congresswoman is in a class of her own for suggesting that federal agents could have prevented the Orlando terrorist attack if they weren’t preoccupied investigating her. Last week the veteran lawmaker, Democrat Corrine Brown, and her chief of staff were slapped with a 24-count federal indictment for using a phony education charity as a “personal slush fund.” The disgraced legislator, who is black, also played the race card by comparing her indictment to the recent fatal police shootings of two black men that have ignited nationwide civil unrest.

First elected to Congress in 1992, Brown represents Florida’s fifth district which spans from Jacksonville to Orlando. The 69-year-old lawmaker and her trusted assistant, Elias Simmons, used a fake charity that was supposed to give scholarships to poor, minority students to get hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash, according to the feds. Brown used her position as a congresswoman to solicit charitable donations from corporate entities that she “knew by virtue of her position in the U.S. House of Representatives,” according to federal authorities. The money was used to pay for lavish receptions, luxury boxes for a Beyonce concert and a professional football game, repairs to Brown’s car and several vacations. More than $735,000 of the charitable contributions went to pay a close family member for a job in Brown’s office that involved no work, the indictment states.

After getting slammed with charges of mail and wire fraud, conspiracy, obstruction and filing of false tax returns in Jacksonville, the disgraced congresswoman went on a tirade outside the federal courthouse that she proclaimed was built “without minority participation” as if that was relevant to her case. “I represent Orlando,” Brown said. “These are the same agents that was not able to do a thorough investigation of the agent and we ended up with 50 people dead and over 58 people injured,” she said referring to the massacre carried out by terrorist Omar Mateen in an Orlando nightclub. “Same district! Same Justice Department! Same agents!” Brown also said the prosecution is racially motivated and wrote this on her blog: “I’m not the first black elected official to be persecuted and, sad to say, I won’t be the last.”

A political columnist for the Orlando Sentinel countered Brown’s claim that she’s a victim of racism by pointing this out in a piece published this week: “The Justice Department — which happens to be run by a black attorney general who answers to a black president — targets shady politicians, not black ones.” The column also reveals that “Brown is notorious for getting fat wads of campaign cash from the industries she helps regulate.” For instance, Brown sits on the House Transportation Committee and transportation industries—railroads, trucking companies and transportation unions—account for three of her top four industry donors. Let’s not forget that back in 1998 the House Ethics Committee investigated Brown involving several issues, including a $10,000 check she got from a Baptist official in legal trouble and a pricey car her daughter got from one of the congresswoman’s millionaire Florida pals embroiled in a bribery scandal.

Another interesting tidbit is that the president of Brown’s phony nonprofit, Carla Wiley, pleaded guilty earlier this year to conspiracy to commit wire fraud surrounding the scam. As part of the plea she agreed to cooperate with investigators, so Brown is probably in a boatload of trouble. Under the deal Wiley admitted to conspiring with an unnamed public official—referred to as “Person A”—who used an “official position to solicit contributions to One Door for Education and to induce individuals and corporate entities to make donations to One Door for Education based on false and fraudulent representations that the funds would be used for charitable purposes.” Instead, federal investigators revealed at the time that the money went toward personal gain for the co-conspirators.

In a recent poll from the Morning Consult, 41% of the responders believe that Donald Trump would do a better job at keeping our country safe than Hillary. Only 37% believe that Hillary would do better. 22% didn’t have an opinion or didn’t know the answer.

The big jump was in Independents, with 38% siding with Trump over 26% for Hillary.

The most remarkable information to take from the poll is that 48% of Americans think that Trump’s temporary ban on Muslims is a good idea. 40% think its is a bad idea.

Despite the administration’s best efforts to try and call the terrorism in Orlando a “hate crime”, the people see through the smoke and mirrors and know that our real enemy is radical Islam.

Obama said that Hillary could be the most qualified person to ever run for president, but the people do not really trust her to keep us safe.

The Orlando attack brought terrorism back to the front of our minds, and now what is most important is shifting. People care less about transgender bathrooms now, and are worrying more about if they are going to get shot while they are dancing.

The world is a scary place, and Hillary wants to distract you from the dangers of the world by talking about equal pay for women.

If Trump keeps talking American safety and the terrorist strikes keep happening, there is a good chance that Hillary will be defeated in November.

Do you trust Hillary over Trump to keep the United States safe? Let us know in the comments below.

This week President Obama made a speech where he was adamant that his actions against ISIS are having a major impact. The Director of CIA disagrees.

Back in November, Obama said that ISIS is on the run, not growing stronger. That was before the San Bernardino and Orlando attacks.

Just this week Obama made a speech about all the things he is doing to stop ISIS. From the way he talks, it sounds like ISIS is no threat at all.

Obama can try to claim all these little victories against ISIS, but what is the truth? CIA Director John Brennan says ISIS is a growing threat that cannot be easily stopped.

Who is telling the truth?

Is it the man who is worried about his political legacy and getting Hillary into the White House or is it the lifetime law enforcement man who is seeing all the intelligence and making a rational decision?

We are going with the CIA director. ISIS may not be gaining ground but they are effectively spreading out all over the world, in the shadows and away from the eyes of governments and law enforcement.

They don’t have an army like most threats in our history, but they do have a legion of lone wolves and pockets of radicalism that can strike at almost any time.

How can we expect to stop the next Orlando or end ISIS if our president doesn’t even understand the enemy?

A Craigslist warning was found online that warned, “San Diego is next”. Is it a real threat or is it a hoax?

For those who love warm weather and sunshine, San Diego is probably the top city in the United States. The gorgeous weather complements a wonderful mix of Hispanic and American cultures nestled on the Pacific Ocean.

The idyllic city is facing a unique threat today. ISIS has warned of its attacks in the future, but a Craigslist ad is different.

The story broke on a local news channel when a viewer of KGTV San Diego found an ad in the Men Seeking Men forum. The ad was deleted shortly after it was put up, but this is what the ad said.

“Orlando was long overdue. Cleanse your community of the filth that gives decent gay men and women a bad name. Those people were walking diseases, bug chasers, and thank god for AIDS and 9-11 and now Orlando. San Diego you are next …”

The FBI and local authorities insist that the city is clear and that this threat is not related to any other actionable information.

Despite the assurances from law enforcement, the local police are increasing their presence in the street, and they are urging local citizens to call in anything out of the ordinary.

This scare is coming on the heels of a report yesterday that thousands and thousands of tips are rolling into the FBI since the Orlando shooting. The bureau seems to be overwhelmed. Lets hope that is not the case.

The picture on the ad was a hand holding a pistol firing a bullet. The ominous image and the warning could be ISIS trying to scare Americans before an attack.

The whole thing could be a hoax. Two SDSU college students could have had a few two cervezas and thought this was funny.

Either way the FBI needs to find the person or people responsible for the ad and arrest them. If it is a hoax, then they can still be charged with making terrorist threats.

If it is real, then hopefully we can stop the “Next Orlando” before it happens.

Disney World

It has been a very bad week for Orlando, Florida and a new tragedy has occurred at the happiest place on earth.

A family from Nebraska was walking along the edge of the Seven Seas Lagoon when an alligator attacked a two-year-old boy by dragging the child under water.

The attack occurred near the Grand Floridian resort, which is one of the premier resorts in the Magic Kingdom area of Disney World in Orlando.

Local search crews have been frantically working to try and find the child using sonar from boats to try and pinpoint locations to search.

The lagoon is a very large body of water and no swimming signs are posted all around the water’s edge. The family was not swimming, but only standing in about a foot of water when the alligator attacked.

The gator grabbed the boy’s foot and immediately pulled the child underwater in front of his parents.

It has been reported that the father dove in and tried to rescue the little boy.

The family is from Nebraska and they also have two other children who were with the family, but apparently not in the water.

The police have not released the names of the family.

It has been a very tragic week for Orlando, Florida and the United States. Tell your family you love them, do something good for someone today. We need more good in our world.

It has become customary to decorate one’s Facebook profile picture with a semi-transparent flag of a group or country that the world rallies behind.

When President Obama said gay marriage was legal, then all the profile pictures turned rainbow.

When the Paris attacks happened, we changed our profile picture to the French flag.

After the Brussels attack, we did it again. The Belgian flag was the trending image for our profiles.

Facebook made it easy, with a click of a button it was done, but not now. Not for us.

America offered the freedom for a creation like Facebook, and there is no respect back. Where is the flag Mr. Zuckerberg?

Is this yet another example of the liberal control of the media and the Internet, or are the people of Facebook too busy trying to decide what bathroom to use to care?

Orlando Killer's Father

Omar Mateen walked into an Orlando nightclub early Sunday morning and opened fire killing 49 people. The 29 year-old devout Muslim and open ISIS supporter committed the worst terrorist strike since 9/11 and his father is “angry”.

In a video released on Facebook earlier this morning by the killer’s father, it is easier to understand where Omar got his feelings.

The father first talks about his son being married and having a child. He says his son was a good kid.

Instead of apologizing to the victims he said that he was “angry” at this son. He said that it wasn’t his job to “punish” gay people, but that is Allah’s job.

Hold on… “punish gay people”. Why would anybody need to punish gay people?

Only somebody with hate in their heart would think that gay people should be punished for being gay.

If your child committed a crime like this, you would be devastated and sending your condolences to the victims and you would be completely unhinged. Any normal person would feel that way.

Not the father of Omar Mateen though. His stoic response to his son killing 49 innocent people is haunting. He says he is angry and doesn’t know why his son would do it.

The father said the company that Omar worked for gave him a gun, but what does that has to do with anything?
