Planned Parenthood

mother's day

Planned Parenthood Chief Cecile Richards was in receipt of some harsh comments, when she tried to use Mother’s Day as an opportunity to mock President Donald Trump for his attempts to repeal Obamacare.

“Nothing says ‘I love you, Mom!’ like standing up for the right of mothers everywhere to get the care they need,” Richards tweeted on Sunday evening. He tweet linked to an op-ed she wrote for the Time Magazine, on Sunday. In her op-ed, Richard bashed President Trump for supporting the American Health Care Act, which Richard believes would strip away health rights for women, and would affect many millions of Americans.

“This Mother’s Day, instead of taking your mom out to brunch or sending chocolate, commit to fighting for a government that recognizes that women deserve basic human rights and protections – including the right to decide when and whether to become a mom,” Richards wrote.

She argued, “The fact that mothers reproduce will now be our economic burden. Under this health care plan, being a woman will once again be a pre-existing condition in America.”

She added that Republicans are vouching towards denying women access to adequate birth control.

“Needless to say, the outlook for any woman hoping to avoid unintended pregnancy for the next four years is pretty bleak,” Richards wrote.

Throughout her op-ed Richard’s portrayed a dark image of the Republicans and recited Democratic talking points and mistruths, many of which were already challenged by the Republican policy leaders when AHCA was passed.

Richards went on the heights of encouraging readers to “commit to fighting” against Trump, instead of celebrating Mother’s Day.

However, what did not go unnoticed in the eyes of the public, was the fact that Richards leads the number one provider of abortion in America.  Author, Connor Boyack reportedly tweeted, [email protected] Nothing says “I hate you, child” by terminating his or her life.”

Wendy Davis

Texas based politician Wendy Davis claimed that it is “absurd,” to view conception as the beginning of human life.

Sources have noted:

“Davis delivered a feminist speech in support of Planned Parenthood Thursday evening to a crowd of almost 100 supporters at Cannon Green restaurant. The former senator famously filibustered an abortion bill in her home state of Texas for 11 hours in June 2013, only to lose a bid for the governor’s seat the following year.

Battles over abortion and funding for the reproductive health care provider have escalated under the Donald Trump administration. Though measures seeking to remove state and federal dollars for Planned Parenthood and to make abortions illegal have failed so far, legislators in Washington D.C. and in South Carolina have shown signs of chipping away on the issue.

Most recently, an anti-abortion measure advanced in the South Carolina legislature Wednesday that defines life as beginning at the moment of conception. Davis characterized such legislation as “absurd” and attributed the bill to “politicians who believe that thumping their chest … is something that they’re rewarded for when they run for re-election.”

It appears to be a never ending debate questioning the legality of abortion centers given that most anti-abortion believe that human life begins at conception, whereas pro-abortion advocates suggest that human life begins at a later stage in pregnancy.

It was a little surprising that Davis made such comments at a fund-raising event in South Carolina, a state that is actively working towards considering a bill that would declare that life begins at the moment of conception.

Many took to social media, to slam Davis for her comments and argued that its settled science that life begins at the moment of conception:

[email protected] SCIENCE! Oh wait….forget science. Life begins when democrats say so.”

“ @LifeNewsHQ Except that it is literally incontrovertible scientific fact.”

[email protected] It’s all about $$$. From what I’ve read about PP founder Margaret Sanger she was fairly diabolical. Hitler liked her ideas though.”

However, things stirred up the most when the conservative commentator Ben Shapiro tweeted,

He reminded Davis that the only thing “absurd,” was her failed attempt in running for Texas governorship back in 2014. Davis not only lost the election, but she lost it in a rather epic manner. Republican Greg Abbott beat Davis 59 percent to 39 percent in the election, leaving Davis to win Dallas County, Travis County and a few other minor counties, only.

Is Ivanka getting ahead of herself? (Photo Courtesy of Flickr:DonkeyHotey)

A few weeks after the inauguration of Donald Trump as the 45th President of the United States, his daughter, Ivanka Trump, secretly met with the head of Planned Parenthood, Politico revealed on Thursday. The meeting had not been reported before that.

Reportedly, the meeting was requested by Ivanka, who wanted to know more about how the organization worked. The meeting between the two women was meant to open up a dialogue on the heated issue of abortion, as President Trump had announced during his campaign trail that he would defund Planned Parenthood in a bid to support his pro-life stance.

“The purpose of the meeting, from Cecile’s point of view, was to make sure that Ivanka fully understood what Planned Parenthood does, how it is funded, and why it would be a terrible idea for Planned Parenthood to be removed from being able to see Medicaid patients,” executive vice president of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, Dawn Laguens, told Politico. “The main thing that Cecile Richards was doing was explaining that the money doesn’t actually go to abortions — we get reimbursed the same way a hospital does. We were clearing up misinformation about how this works.”

The First Daughter has focused on advocating for women’s issues and Planned Parenthood isn’t the only progressive organization she has reached out to. According to Politico’s report, she has also met with the National Partnership for Women and Family and the National Women’s Law Center.

However, her efforts to cross partisan divides has not impressed many in the progressive movement, who claim that she can’t “have it both ways.”

“You don’t get to say, I’m all for economic empowerment, and ignore that 30 percent of wage gains are directly attributable to access to birth control. You don’t get to say women should have great childcare when maternity benefits are on the chopping block,” Laguens said, reports Politico.

Cecile Richards has also criticized the first daughter publicly after their meeting, disapproving of her “deafening” silence on the GOP’s American Health Care Act.

Meanwhile, Trump defended herself and explained why she hasn’t been so outspoken about social issues.

“I would say not to conflate lack of public denouncement with silence. I think there are multiple ways to have your voice heard. In some ways, it’s through protest or calling on the nightly news and talking about or denouncing every issue which you do not agree with,” she said in an interview with CBS that aired Wednesday. “Other times it is quietly and directly and candidly – so where I disagree with my father, he knows it and I express myself with total candor where I agree.”

Ivanka and her husband, Jared Kushner, have become known as the “West Wing Democrats” as both share liberal views and have supported Democrats up until Donald Trump started his campaign for the Presidency.
Kushner, who has no political experience and is the son of a wealthy developer himself, has amassed significant power within the White House and is reportedly in the process of pushing out advisors such as Stephen Bannon and Kellyanne Conway who have embedded conservative views.

Hillary clinton

Former secretary of state, first lady, inventor of “No Child Left Behind” and now presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton has received the endorsement of two of the most notorious groups in America.

Planned Parenthood came out early and, for the first time in 100 years, endorsed a presidential candidate before the primaries.

The group’s political arm plans to spend $20 million in the 2016 race.

The endorsement has not been well-received by Planned Parenthood’s supporters:

Near the announcement of Planned Parenthood’s endorsement of Hillary, the gun control group, The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, announced their support for Clinton.

“Hillary Clinton has been a national leader on gun violence prevention for decades. More than any candidate on either side of the aisle, she has the experience, record, and demonstrated commitment to help reach the Brady Campaign’s goal of cutting gun deaths in half by 2025,” Brady Campaign President Dan Gross stated.

Hillary was also endorsed by gun control advocate and former congresswoman from Arizona Gabby Giffords.

Monica Lewinsky’s nemesis has been focused racking up support from gun control advocates over the last several weeks.

The move signals that the 2nd Amendment will be the top issue throughout 2016.

Dean Transgender

According to Republican presidential candidate Senator Ted Cruz, he was. At an Iowa campaign stop on Sunday, Cruz told a reporter that Dear was a “transgendered leftist activist”

Dear, 57, with guns blazing, held a Planned Parenthood clinic hostage for nearly six hours. When his shooting rampage concluded, three were dead, and six had been injured.

Though he is said to have made comments about “baby parts” to arresting officers in a reference to the leaked hidden camera videos that showed top Planned Parenthood executives brokering the sale of organs from aborted fetuses, the extent of his motivations remain a mystery. Law enforcement says it’s too soon, since they’re still investigating and processing evidence.

But if Cruz is right, that Dear was transgender, it could give an interesting new angle to Dear’s motivations.

Cruz’s claims come from a story initially reported by center-right news source, The Gateway Pundit, that said Dear “identifies as [a] woman.” The source of that information came in the form of publicly-accessible Colorado voter information, which has Dear listed as a female.

It’s unclear whether Dear actually, in fact, identifies as a woman, or whether it was merely a clerical error. His appearance—namely his long, grizzled beard—doesn’t seem to suggest that he’s becoming a woman.

But if Dear is, in fact, a leftist activist protesting so-called “cisgender” (non-transgender) women at a Planned Parenthood, it could dramatically shift the national conversation on a number of key issues.

A new hashtag popped up on Twitter–designed to get women more excited about abortion.

The hashtag, #ShoutYourAbortion, started trending on the social media site on Tuesday. It was, apparently, designed by Planned Parenthood to help fight back against Congress voting to defund the embattled abortion giant.

Planned Parenthood, always controversial, has been in the limelight after ten hidden camera videos appeared, showing the nonprofit was apparently harvesting organs from aborted fetuses and selling them for profit.

Unfortunately for Planned Parenthood, the hashtag quickly backfired.

Rather than being a forum for women to “shout their abortion”–and, apparently, publicly declare how proud they were to abort their unborn child–the hashtag was quickly hijacked by pro-life supporters, who began telling their stories about why they didn’t get an abortion.

On Facebook, a woman named Leah, for instance, posted: “I was 16. She was unexpected. ‪Planned Parenthood‬ offered me an abortion. I was horrified and quickly declined. Her name is Taylor. She is 19 now. She is the best thing that has ever happened to me and I can’t imagine life without her.”

And another pro-life supporter named Thomas, posted, succinctly, “This. This is why I f***ing hate people… Just because something can be done doesn’t mean it should.”

Over the past few years, pro-choice supporters have veered farther left on abortion. While former President Bill Clinton once said abortion should be “legal, safe, and rare,” today’s liberals don’t have any pretense about wanting to discourage abortion.

Nowadays, they want to be able to wear abortion as a point of pride–encouraging women to “shout” their abortion, even though America remains widely in favor of restrictions on abortion.

Planned Parenthood clinics nationwide are losing clients left and right–because of ObamaCare.

The controversial organization–which spends a small fortune every year lobbying on behalf of abortion rights–has been walloped by the fact that, with more Americans owning health insurance, there simply isn’t a need for mediocre, abortion-specific clinics like Planned Parenthood.

In fact, one chapter of Planned Parenthood in particular has seen a whopping 15 percent drop since ObamaCare went into effect just three years ago.

“Some people relied on us before they were uninsured prior to the Affordable Care Act,” admitted Lori Carpentier, the CEO of Planned Parenthood of Mid and South Michigan. “now they can go anywhere for care, and some of them have been.”

Planned Parenthood has also been under attack after a series of controversial videos were released showing top executives trying to sell the body parts of aborted children to the highest bidder–and describing how their doctors purposely try to keep the most valuable body parts intact, for higher value.

A number of states have already defunded Planned Parenthood, which receives some taxpayer funding, although a bill has stalled in the U.S. Senate to cut off all federal funding.

It’s unclear if Planned Parenthood’s shriveling numbers mean women are getting abortions elsewhere, like from their doctors, or if they’re getting fewer abortions altogether.

In the short term, it means that Planned Parenthood will have less money to throw around when it comes to fights about so-called “women’s health issues.”

But, longer term, it could be an encouraging sign for the pro-life movement.

Rather than have to go to a low-priced clinic like Planned Parenthood that pushes abortion at all costs (partially so it can sell the baby’s body parts on the black market), women will be able to have more frank discussions with their doctors–and make their decision after they receive all the facts about what an abortion entails, and how far along their baby is in development.

Planned Parenthood has released an ad attacking Republican Senator Kelly Ayotte and twisting her intentions into something to fit their agenda. Cue for surprise.

The “PSA” criticizes Ayotte and claims she and other Republicans want to shut down the government in order to defund the “Women’s Health” organization. While it is true that Senator Ayotte and other senators have voted repeatedly to pull funding from Planned Parenthood, especially after videos surfaced that implicated them in the practice of illegal abortion procedures and the sale of fetal body parts, it is not true that they are calling for a government shutdown to do so.

The ad employs the tactic of cutting to heartstring-tugging images; an older gentleman asking about his VA Benefits, an elderly woman asking about Medicare, a small business owner, and a mother. All the while probing the question, “What would a government shutdown mean for us?”

Planned Parenthood’s feeble attempt to discredit Senator Ayotte comes after a close vote in congress on a bill that would cut all government subsidies going to the organization. The bill just missed being passed by a margin of eight votes, a worrisome figure for Planned Parenthood. A Bloomburg article even quotes Sen. Ayotte as saying, “I think that we should ensure that we do not have a government shutdown.”

If anything is counter to Planned Parenthood’s claims it should be the antithesis of what they say she wants coming directly from the slandee’s mouth a full two weeks before the ad was even aired.

To further the egg on the face of those campaigning to instill faith the the group even after the ridiculous attempt to cover up their essential black market trade for infant organs and tissue, a government shutdown would not even affect the apparent victims starring in the ad. After the 2013 shutdown it’s known that only a small number of the people using those benefit programs would suffer.

As weak a ploy the ad is to draw attention away from the barbaric and inconceivably base actions of Planned Parenthood, there are still those defending it. They believe that the government should funnel money that could be going into the programs far more worthy of our support than a group that says a woman shouldn’t even be aware of the actual procedural steps of an abortion should the concept of ending a potential life be too disturbing to her.

Are there really those among us that would say the people in the ad like the Veteran, the widow, children, or the small business owner should go without programs in place to make a better country for them instead of those who consider baby hearts, livers, and muscles just “tissue samples” for which they should be “compensated”?

Will the public and the government allow Planned Parenthood to keep masquerading as a helping hand? Or will 2016 finally see and end to their back alley dealings?

The Center For Medical Progress said it is going to keep releasing disturbing Planned Parenthood videos, and it has delivered on that promise. A third video was released Tuesday, and unlike the first two it focused less on highly placed members of Planned Parenthood and more on a young woman whose seemingly normal job turned into something out of a Stephen King novel when she was tasked with dissecting freshly aborted babies.

The first two videos, of course, showed high ranking PP officials discussing in explicit detail the procedures they use to save baby body parts that are in particularly high demand, and the prices that they charge to deliver them. After the videos the group had the sheer gall to insist that they weren’t doing anything so crass as selling the body parts, no, clearly they are just donating them to science, and accepting money in return. Not a sale at all!

As if that insult to America’s collective intelligence wasn’t enough, the radical left insisted that the group releasing the videos is the group that needs investigation, instead of the group in violation of multiple federal statutes regarding human trafficking. Citizens aren’t buying into that logic, as Breitbart reports that protests against PP are underway in 70 US cities.

A hacker group that calls itself “3301” joined the fray Monday, revealing that it has hacked PP’s e-mail servers and other databases. PP confirmed the data breach, and has asked the FBI to investigate. The Daily Dot published an interview with one of the hackers, who goes by “E.” “Trying to mold an atrocious monstrosity into socially acceptable behaviors is repulsive,” E told The Daily Dot. “Obviously what [Planned Parenthood] does is a very ominous practice. It’ll be interesting to see what surfaces when [Planned Parenthood] is stripped naked and exposed to the public.”

Planned Parenthood itself called the hack a “new low” in a campaign of “harassment” against the organization and its clients.

Following all this publicity came Tuesday’s third video. Holly O’Donnell, a phlebotomist, is at the center of the latest horrifying documentary evidence of PP’s organ trafficking business. Explaining how her job turned into a bait-and-switch, O’Donnell said “I thought I was going to be just drawing blood, not procuring tissue from aborted fetuses.” She went on to detail how she fainted when she was first told to cut out the usable organs from the dead babies’ bodies.

O’Donnell also made it abundantly clear that some of the employees at Planned Parenthood were in on the organ selling scheme. “For whatever we could procure, they would get a certain percentage,” she said. “The main nurse was always trying to make sure we got our specimens. No one else really cared, but the main nurse did because she knew that Planned Parenthood was getting compensated.”

In response to all of these horrifying revelations, Rand Paul has spearheaded a Senate campaign to block federal funding from Planned Parenthood. PP received approximately $540 million in federal funds last fiscal year. Federal law prohibits spending that money directly on abortions, of which the organization performs approximately 330,000 per year.

Senate democrats predictably ignored the organ trafficking and flagrant legal violations, framing the vote as an attack on women’s health care. The Republicans have 54 senate seats, and need 60 votes to defund the organization, leading minority leader Harry Reid to quip sarcastically “good luck.”

Only time will tell if Planned Parenthood will in fact get away with its heinous crimes. The left will certainly continue to abet them.

Following the release of a second shocking Planned Parenthood hidden-camera video–featuring another of the organization’s top executives describing their apparent baby-parts-for-cash scheme–Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina has some choice words.

And she’s aiming her criticism squarely at Hillary Clinton and the Democratic Party, who have drifted progressively leftward over the last two decades on the issue of abortion.

Clinton, who has already received far more donations from Planned Parenthood staff members than any other 2016 presidential candidate, has yet to say anything about the controversy–and Fiorina believes that’s part of the problem.

“[This video controversy] is made even more terrible by the absolute deafening silence of the Democratic Party,” Fiorina explains. “Democrats have always fought for a policy that says it is not a life until it leaves the hospital. Hillary Clinton has fought to preserve that policy.”

After the release of the first video last week, Planned Parenthood has found itself knee-deep in controversy–even facing a possible official investigation by Congress, which aims to find out whether or not Planned Parenthood broke the law. Some states’ attorney generals have joined the fray, launching their own investigations into Planned Parenthood’s dealings.

But despite the existing controversy, the second, newly-released video–featuring Mary Gatter, Medical Director for Planned Parenthood Pasadena and San Gabriel Valley in California–is, in some ways, even more damning than the first.

After haggling for price for a few minutes for so-called “fetal tissue,” Gatter is asked to name her price. With a smile, she jokes, “I want a Lamborghini” in exchange for the hearts, livers, and lungs of an unborn child.

Planned Parenthood has already gone on the defensive, and even publicly admitted that there will be more videos just like this one being leaked. They wrote a lengthy letter to Congress, in the hopes that this issue will peter out sooner rather than later, and without a full investigation.

But, for many on the right–including Fiorina–the damage is already done, not just to Planned Parenthood but the seeming stranglehold pro-choice politicians and activists have on the political system.

Fiorina adds that she thinks all Americans, no matter what their political persuasions, should see these shocking videos as a wake-up call.

“It doesn’t matter whether you think you’re pro-choice or pro-life,” Fiorina says. “Every woman, every man has to look at these videos and think, what has gone wrong in our nation?”
