Saturday Night Live

Hillary And Bernie

Sometimes Saturday Night Live is exactly what we need in America.

The battle between Hillary and Bernie is heating up and the comics at Saturday Night Live decided to open the show with a bar scene with Bernie and Hillary.

This is a good one. They joke about politics and the race for the Democratic nomination for President are hilarious and dangerously true like all great comedy.

Kate Mckinnon reprises her role as Hillary Clinton and Larry David visits to play the roll he was born to play, Bernie Sanders.

Watch the “Cold Open” from this past Saturday’s show and get a good laugh. (Unless you are a Hillary Clinton fan, then don’t watch it.)

Saturday Night Live normally spends its time making fun of Republicans and Trump, but this time they go after the Democrats in glorious fashion.

Hillary Clinton

Last year there wasn’t a doubt in anyone’s mind that Hillary Clinton would be the Democratic nominee for president, but the Bernie revolution and her eroding honesty is making her a target.

Hillary is meeting with the FBI in their criminal investigation into her email, and she has lost the last seven primary states to the democratic socialist Bernie Sanders.

She is in a bad spot and it is feeling like 2007 all over again, but this time with a FBI investigation.

What did Hillary do to respond? The former Secretary of State went on live TV to speak directly to the New York voters to make sure her “home state” isn’t number eight on her losing streak.

What better platform to speak from than Saturday Night Live?

Yes, we know that this isn’t Hillary, but if you are the front-runner for the Democratic Party and Saturday Night Live is attacking you, then you have a serious problem.

Hillary doesn’t do many interviews and she hardly ever has a press conference. Compare that to Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders who will do almost any interview requested.

There are big problems in the Hillary campaign and the last seven states seem to think that Bernie would make a better president. Next we look to New Yorkers to see who they want.

Will New York pick its former Senator Clinton, or Bernie, the boy from Brooklyn? If her “home state” goes with Bernie, you will see Hilary and her campaign in full panic mode, and it is going to be a beautiful sight.

Last week the CNN Democratic Presidential Debate put all the liberal candidates on display for the world to see. What happened can be summed up into one sketch that was performed on Saturday Night Live this past week.

From Alec Baldwin’s hilarious portrayal of former Virginia governor Jim Webb to Larry David’s magnificent portrayal of Bernie Sanders, the sketch was right on the money.

Shots were fired at Hillary, CNN and even Joe Biden. The audience ate it up. Not to mention the four million plus views so far on YouTube that have made this video go viral.

Saturday Night Live has a longstanding tradition of making fun of politicians and even swaying votes in some cases. It was Tina Fey’s perfect portrayal of Sarah Palin that turned the tide on the Alaska governor during the 2008 election.

The now famous quote “I can see Russia from my house” from SNL stuck in the minds of the American voters. So much so, that when polled, many Americans attributed the quote to Palin and not Tina Fey.

With so many great characters in this election, it is going to be a great season of Saturday Night Live sketches! Let’s just hope that Jim Webb runs as an independent so we can see Alec Baldwin’s portrayal again.

Following President Elect Donald Trump’s press conference, documentary film maker Michael Moore appeared on MSNBC to say about Trump, “It was a masterful performance....
