Donald Trump always had a large personality, obviously, but the people at NBC thought that it would work on TV as well. They were right.

The Apprentice started in 2004 and featured Donald Trump as the boss and contestants did their best in business to prove they have what it takes to win. If they didn’t they would be fired. Inspiring the early 2000’s catch phrase, “You’re Fired”.

The show was a huge success. It peaked at number seven in the ratings and had 20 million viewers. In the first four years it maintained an average of 15 million viewers an episode and introduced Donald Trump to a new generation.

Currently Arnold Schwarzenegger is the new boss now that Trump is going for a new job as president.
